FALL ATHLETIC BANQUET The Fall Athletic Banquet was held on December 2, 1981 at the Fair Grounds Exhibit Hall. First year letters awarded to Rory Bakkcn, manager Jim O'Connor, Joe Hadley, Gary Eichom and Mike Dexter for Football. Second year awards for football were given to Rich Becker, John Lizcr, Brian Hickey, Nick Schueler, Scott Tuggle, Kevin Fleckenstein, Jim Stanton, Jeff Hadley, Kent Ket ter ling, Ken Kentizer, Pete Stanton, Cliff Christianson and Dave Mahon. Hartley Barefoot and Rich Whitmore were Captains. Most Valuable Offensive Player-Jim Stanton, Most Valuable Defensive Player-Rich Becker, Most Valuable Player-Jim Stanton, Most Improved-Cliff Christianson, Hardest Worker- Scot t Tuggle, Leading Defensive Player-Hartley Barefoot, Leading Scorer Rusher-Jim Stanton. Zeke Lund-Kent Ketterling, Steve McClain-Rich Whitmore. Football Cheerleaders 3rd year Varsity Deb Varner, 2nd year Varsity Kandi Varner, Lyn Wolcnetz, Carol Beebe and Rochelle Hurlbert. Girls Basketball- First year letters were given to Brenda Meschke, manager Natalie Ferrel, Robynn Enos, Kathy McGonigal, Julei Bruha, Shelly Barefoot, Karla Herlfrich. Second year, Paula Engesser, Laurie Brcitbach, Kim Lund, Kay Dixon, Janice Stoddard and Traci Wade. Manager pins were given to Star la Householder and Brenda Meschke. Special Awards: Most Valuable Player-Kirn Lund Paula Engesser, Most Improved- Kay Dixon, Best Defensive Player-Karla He If rich. Best Freethrow Percentage-Shelly Barefoot, Leading Scorer-Kim Lund, Most Assists-Natalie Ferrel, Leading Rebounder-Paul Engesser. The Varsity Cheerleaders were all first year letters, DeAnna Herbst, Jerri O'Connor and Sherri Ketterling. Cross Country: Terri Dilworth First year letter. Bars - Jim O'Connor, Kevin Braun, Kelly Mahon, Brian Pinnow, Mark Wood and Max Losing. Special Awards: Most Valuable Boy-Jim O'Connor Most Valuable Girl- Max Losing. What's so funny girls?!
