Class Prophecy 1981 It 5 class reunion time for the B.H.S. Class of 1981. A few classmates are working enthusiastically on the preparation of their 1991 class reunion. As we listen at the doorway a couple of former classmates are busily chatting about the resumes that have been coming in from all over .. . ' Here 's a picture of Rhonda Askin, the old wrestling manager. She just couldn 't give up managing so now she manages the Georgia championship wrestling squad with special interest in the foremost champion of the world. Baby Face Fleckenstein. I saw them on TV just last week and who do you think was still cheering them on? None other than Lynn Stoddard, the new GCW cheerleader! And do you know whose familiar voice I heard on the air singing the National Anthem? It was Barb Neumann’s! Not only does she sing but she also broadcasts the news every night on the WA TV singing news network. Hey, look at this one! Carla Barone now manufactures her own cheeseburger deluxes and fries with ranch. She wants to cater our class reunion, can you imagine burgers at a formal dinner? And right across the street from Carla’s business is Gay Brockets Teeth Cleaning Service where everyone goes to get Carla’s gooey burgers out of their teeth!” And just look at this letter — in direct competition with Carla, not more than 18 miles away from Baker, Theresa Bradoc is managing a chain of Mert’s Restaurants that reaches across the state of North Dakota!” ” Quite a few people have come back to town since college. Wayne Wilson wrote a note on his resumes it says ’Will someone please stop to get me for Senior Skip Day?' I wonder if Jeff Varner will leave his newly purchased gas station to come to the reunion. Scott Fried and Kurt Shelf really help Jeff keep his business goings Scott fills his moped up every other day and Kurt still pumps gas. Things still haven't changed a bit!” This resume says that Mark Meccage is trapping furs for Baker Hide and Fur. Do you think Patty Becker will come wearing one of her new mink coats? She started the most elite business in town and her furs are really in demand! 'Dennis Dietz will probably ride in on one of the bicycles he is always fixing at his own fix-it shop in downtown Baker. ’’ Some of the kids are still hanging around up at the High School; Kathy Stanton should make it, but after all, she is always busy, busy, busy with paperwork since she is the first woman superintendent of Baker High School! We always knew she go a long way! And I wonder if we’ll be able to drag Mary Schwan away from the coaches' office. She’s so busy making up new plays since she inherited the Baker Spartan Basketball team from her dad. The team could really use some new plays;so far their record is 0- 75. ” Even the celebrities managed to find time to answer their letters. Tina Woodsend and Mike Leach are both in Hollywood, where Tina is currently starring in a new film release as Olive Oil and Mike has the role of Lurch in the third edition of the Adams Family. Barb Owens sent us an autographed copy of her Pulitzer Prize winning book of poetry; she’s busy touring Europe on important assignments. Kenny and Mary Lutts are busy making money doing the Doublemint Gum commercial. Double Flavor, Double Fun I’ Shane Beckers is entered in the bull riding competition in the National Rodeo Finals!” Look out the window! There goes Mel Boggs, Baker Policewoman, with her siren screaming. She's always picking up delinquents and taking them to Russ Schell's Ranch for Wayward Children and Juvenile Delinquents. ”1 think Rich Schell should be stopping by anytime now; he delivers groceries when he’s not out racing his collection of Trans-Ams.” The other day I saw Debbie Wildish 's name on an auctioneer poster. She is absolutely raking in the dough! Her fast talk and loud voice can be heard all over the state! And at every auction you can see Doug Wolenetz and his goldplated cowboy boots and diamond-studded suit. He usually buys the auctions out with his millions. ” There's a lot of new businesses popping up around town. Baker even has its own toupe shop owned and operated by Kevin Tuggle; he has new hair every day! Just down the street Kevin Kovak runs Novak's Elevators, Incorporated. He’s fooling all the auditors with help from Collette Hurley, whose expert accounting abilities can never be beaten. ” The most exclusive club in town is called The Bobby Sands Diet Center. It’s owned and operated by Debbie Dockter and Patty Tronstad. ” ‘B , 26
