The 1978 Senior-Parent Banquet was held Monday May 22, 1978 in St. John's Parish Hall. The Toastmaster was Gary Tuggle with Rev. Robert Boutwell giving the blessing. After dinner, Roland Gil! gave the Welcome after which Terry Gill gave the Response. Senior Class sponsor John Hecker intro- duced the Seniors whom in return intro- duced their parents. The Class Will was read by Robin Walker and Bret Mayo; the Class Proph- ecy was read by Roxi Harris and Mitch Anderson;The Farewell was given by Mr. Erickson. Entertainment was provided by the Senior Swing Choir.

Baccalaureate Services were held for the graduating Class of 1978 in Baker High School Auditorium, May 14, 8:00 p.m. Reverend Donald Gordineer of The American Lutheran Church was chosen by the Seniors to give the Address. Hymns were sung by Baker High School Choir under the direction of Mr. Joel Howard. Appreciation, a poem written by Roxi Harris, was read by Roxi and Alison Engesser.

The Salutorian address was given by Cindy Uttke. Vocal entertainment was provided by Seniors Brenda Culver, Cindy Uttke, and Lorri Gundlach. They sang The Times of Our Life. The Valedictorian address was given by Selena Braun, followed by the address of the guest speaker—Georgia Rice, State Superintendent of Public Instruction. Mrs. Rice's topic was A Gift to Yourself. The Baker High School Band, Roy Wood, Director, entertained with a selection of Italian movie themes. Ashley Stanhope, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, presented the Diplomas. Presen- tation of the awards was made by Superin- tendent Harry D. Erickson and Principal Tom McGonigal. Reverend Boutwell gave the Benediction.
