GQJS jlglsfofy At the beginning of the new decade 119505, 48 of the Devil's Little Angels started their careers of mischief, deviltry, and general misbehavior at the old joint, ah---excuse me, the East Side School. The reason we call' it the East Side School is because it is on the east side of town. Miss Karch alias Mrs. Post was the unlucky schoolmarm to receive this new batch of war babies. After 4 years of pain and misery they were finally forced to split us up sending half to the new Lincoln School. As the years progressed they decided the only way to get rid of us was to stash us in a room in the basement of the old High School. Finally after 8 years of misery 41 graduated from Junior High under the iron-rule of Mr. Gaustad and Mrs. Wheat. Another 3 months of recuperation were sadly ended as we trudged back as Freshmen to face 4 more years of drudgery. Class officers for this our first year of High School were: President Judy Birtic, Vice President Craig Bowen, Secretary Jim Joyce, and Treasurer Loretta Plummer. Somehow we managed to struggle through this first year under the guiding eye of James Archibald Mack. We went through the customary 3 months of general mischief and fun all too quickly. We sadly returned to our next year of learning as Almighty Sophomores. Our leaders for this year were as follows: President Midge Morrow, Vice President Steve Wilder, Secretary Jim Joyce, and Treasurer Marlene Hayden. We proceeded through this year without any great tragedy occurring to our helpful advisor Harold Davidson. After 3 more months of freedom we came back as Juniors, finally upperclassmen. The of- ficers for this year were: President Jim Joyce, Vice President Craig Bowen, and Secretary- Treasurer Judy Hatton. Under the leadership of James Archibald Mack and Harold Stephens, after weeks of strenuous planning and hard work we came up with an excellent prom with a very appropriate oriental setting. We presented our prom in honor of the graduating Seniors. We finished our year with the presentation of a 3 act comedy, Books and Crooks, which left everyone rolling in the aisles with laughter. Then guess what?'? Yup, another vacation to rest the weary mind. We came back as glori- ous Seniors to our last year of high school. The class elected President Judy Hatton, Vice Presi- dent Raymond Scheuffele, Secretary Mary Williams, and Treasurer Pat Corey. Our very able sponsors for this year are Tom McGonigal and Jerry Toner. But just how able they were we do not really know. Under the persuasion of the girls we presented a drama, Jane Eyre, which did not come off as well as expected. After the Junior Prom and the Music Festival we looked to that glorious day, the day of our commencement. We leave with heads held high because we are the first class to graduate from the new Baker High School and go to seek our fortunes in the world. We are the Class of 'E-32.
