Sally Business Education Mrs Sally Read, typing teacher as taught at Baker Senior High School for the past three years Her schedule con sists of typing the full day Mrs Eva Ostwald has taught at Baker High for seventeen years She teaches shorthand I, bookkeeping, and general business This year data processing is being taught in bookkeeping Mr Tom Langston teaches office practice and business machines, short- hand Il, general business, business English, and business law to Juniors and Seniors. This is his thirteenth year Baker Senior High UQ Soclul Studies This year, the usual class of Senior Modern Problems has been changed to Democratic Problems, but still consists of mainly the same projects. Teachers for Democratic Problems are: Gary Hammond and Richard Taie, who also in- structs U. S. History along with Dale Austin. John Heriza teaches World Civ. to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. Some activities in the Democratic Problems classes consisted of studying the Constitution in full, Civil Defense, and various civilizations at the beginning of the year. In World Civ. , the students study a variety of countries and construct term papers around them. U. S. History con- sists of studying the history of the United States.

Miss Leslie Durgan has accomplished many things during her 4 years teaching at BHS. Among these, she has teaching a boys' home-ec class, starting the nursery program, and having her students invite guests during the food unit. Mrs. Carol Rodman, who taught 2 years in Miami, Florida, is presently teaching at BHS. Mrs. Rodman hopes to add golf and archery to her P. E. curriculum. Mr. Wayne Looney who has taught P. E. and been assistant coach for 6 years, has just been bestowed with the title of head coach. Mr. Looney is looking forward to the upcoming year. This year's foreign language instructor is Zo Ann Purnell. She teaches Spanish I-II and also German I-II to sophomore, junior, and senior students. Paul Wallace is this year's Special Education teacher. He is also very ac- tive in the game of tennis.
