-asu- STUDENT 'BODY OFHC.E'RS qyvesidenl, put tSlL!!tL7ClIl, Vice president, ?4lr'f MfIl'l.H Secretary, Mary June pafmquist' Yeff King, Ray Bfalvfocfq Sortg Queen, Yflfberfu Efweff STUDENT COUNCIL The student council, composed of student body officers, class officers, and chief of the Bulldog Guard has been responsible for constructive and effective activities in 1939-1940. Supplementing its previous responsibilities, the council in order to become more efficient divided itself into departments in the same manner as a cabinet-each of the ten members acting in an ad- visory position for a different school activity and investigation. A student court consisting of six members and a chief justice was established as one or the gen- eral welfare programs of the school. Many social activities, school pay assemblies and exchange assemblies were arranged during the year. A courtesy campaign was sponsored. The handbook was revised and suggestions for the revision of the constitution were presented to the student body. An educational trip was made by the council to a representative high school of a neighboring state to study its manner of conducting student affairs. -Mary Jane Palmquist Second Row: Morin, Ord, Fishback, and Worley.
