I I Richie Bullock, assistant principal, was retired from Baker High in the fall of 1916. Time had come full circle, for he had come to BHS in the fall of 1966 as a classroom — teacher of Biology I. By the fall of 1970, he had asserted himself as the new assistant principal - having been appointed in July. Mr. “Bullit,” as he came to be called, was more than the ordinary assistant principal. He fulfilled all his duties and even more to ensure that people and equipment moved promptly, orderly, and disciplined in the halls and on the grounds of Baker High. After 20 years of Bullock’s service, Baker High lost more than an assistant principal when he turned in his bulletproof vest, fingerprint set, detective badge; put away his gavel of fairness; folded his robe of judgment; and stored away his “board of education.’’ Bullock, Baker, and Buffaloes came to be synonyms for quality education. .Busy Understanding Loyal Listener Orderly Cooperative Keen “Well done, thou good and faithful servant . . .’’
