PEOPLE GIVE US INSIGHTS, A TTITUDES We learn a lot from PEOPLE. Whitman said, “There was a child, who went forth every day, and the first object he looked upon. . . that object he became. ” So does every person we are acquainted with become a part of us: our best friend, our worst foe, casual acquaintances, teachers, relatives, and even Old Lady So-and-So. Baker High School is the center of the students' social life. Here they grow by taking a part of everybody they know. The more people they know, the “larger ” they grow, and the happier they may be.
