I Our high school days are some of the happiest days of our lives. With just a little effort we can make these days happy and profitable. School life often helps to determine our careers. Baker offers a curriculum that possibly enables each of us to discover the career that we will make our life's work. The wide choice of classes is influential in getting us prepared for the future. Providing a pleasant relief from studying, which is so often the only thing connected with school', are sports, clubs, and other extracurricular activities that help students become well-rounded individuals. By participating in such activities, students learn good sportsmanship while improving their athletic abilities; we develop good citizenship while helping others; but most important we acquire a wide variety of knowledge while working with many other individuals. Essentially, what it all boils down to is, Baker High School is us, and we are Baker High School. 10 Opening

This school term is definitely the most important for us, whether we are Freshmen or Seniors. There are many things that we may wish to hold somewhere in the hack o f our minds. For example, we might not forget the long hours of a school day, 8:07 AM to 3:15 PM, but for some o f us, especially seniors, our day ends earlier than the normal school day. Furthermore, we certainly won 7 forget a difficult instructor, or a visit to the principal's o ffice. Yet some items we do tend to forget: the top local news story of 77, The Tungsen Park. Edwin Edwards scandal, not to mention the tornado drills for which we so diligently practiced. A ll these things combine to produce a Baker High School Student. Opening 9
