Do you suppose Decatur County will ever need another game warden? I sincerely doubt it. I heard today that Chief game warden, Charles Martin and his associates, Cooley Coftey and Leonard Harrell, have been unemployed since the hunters scanned South West Georgia for its wild game. Tough luck for the fellows, especially Leonard and those nine cute little red headed kids. Since Bainbridge has become a resort town, I-suppose Larry Nix is doing a booming business out at the Four Acre. Oh, yes, he has Whitley Brown as his assist- ant now that business has picked up, so that he can still watch his favorite T.V. programs. No doubt Iohn, you remember all of the fine athletes in our classy most of them made the 1966 United States Olympic Team. You remem- ber the great basketball team we had. Well, two of its members, Freddy Alford and Ieff Cooke are in the Olympics. They have as their personal coach and inspiration, that famous intramural coach of our high school days, Pete Sharber. Pete didn't get into the ministry after he lost his voice. tHe coaches with hand signalsl Then there are those speed demons of the track team, Gorgeous Gordon Searcy and Will Little, who run the 100 meter and 200 meter dashes. The Olympic Team wouldn't be complete without the Bainbridge weight-lifters, Iohnny Dan- iels and Kenneth Rice. They have both broken the world record set by that 'Toccoa, Ga., boy in 1956. Oh, I'm sure that you've heard all that, but here's some real newsl Jimmy Sullivan is STILL lifting weights at the Youth Center. Although he has managed to win the coveted title of 'Mr. Body Beautiful,' he still has no more than a 14-inch bicep. Donia Waters, lean Iohnson, Kaye Martin, and Christine Woodward made good use of their high school basketball experience are now with The House of David's Wives. Oh, I almost forgot, Bobby Higdon is now a pro golfer and makes it a habit to shoot at least one hole-in-one a day. You can see the coaches at Bainbridge High have a lot to be proud of. You know, to me about the funniest thing that has happened in our class is that Iohn Bates has become the first and only Rear Admiral of the Navy to have an hour a day free time to construct tinker toy ships. Mary Ellen Wall and Dorothy Knight are chief attendants at the Wreck-Remedy Rest Home, op erated by Wallace Weathersby. Their worst pa tient and trouble maker is Alechia Hatcher. She finally went insane trying to convince the cadets that she was a genius and not just another dumb blonde. Some of the other poor inmates are Wan derin' Wanda White, and Gerald Boutwell, who insists that he's the 'Moonlight Gambler'. You know, Martha, I always try to keep up with the top world news, and I was thrilled to learn that Nelda Pollock, Betty Sue Hunt, Peggy Brady, and Myrtice Dyches recently made history by having the first quadruple wedding in the United States. Well loan Griffin tried very hard to make it an even bigger event, but unfortunately her plans failed at the last minute, poor Ioan! It seems to me that marriage was a very pop ular fad in our class. Rhetta Hester didn't waste any time in being the first to get things started, but Betty Lain Kain and Steve Syer certainly gave her a close race to the altar. While I'm on the subject of marriage, Barbara Bates came out to see me today. She said she now has only 3 years, 7 months, Z weeks, five ldays, 4 hours, 35 minutes and 22 seconds 'before her long awaited wedding hour. Her fiance had solemnly declared that he will not wed an in stant before his thirtieth birthday. Incidentally, her matron of honor will be the widely known divorcee, Suzanne Pettyjohn, who just divorced her fifth husband, and is working desperately for a sixth. Her next victim is believed to be Iohnny Knight, now operator of Knight's Sweet Shoppe. Honestly! that Suziel Can you imagine the confusion and excite-, ment when those nearly delirious old maids, Mary Charles Roberts, Sadie Emanuel, Beth Miller, and Martha Connell try to catch the bridal bouquet when Barbara throws it? Only too well. It'll be a fight to the finish. Oh Iohnl Have you heard about the famous Dynamite Darlings, Phyllis Davis, Ftomona Dug- gar, Carolyn Cooper, and Wanda Ehlbert's latest adventure? CThey got their experience in the PTA Follies.l They've started the Iungle Ballet Com- pany with an all drum orchestra led by Cecil Simpson and Robert Woodham. They are going to make their first appearance at the Martin The- atre, now managed by Mildred Sharkey and Harriet Thigpen. I could just go on talking for hours. Speaking of hours, it's getting late and I'd bet- ter be on my way. I hope to see you again soon. Oh, Martha, by the way, you will be around for the class reunion on Iuly 4, 1967, won't you?
