BAINBRIDGE VS. THOMASVILLE 6-13 The Bearpats were in for a tough one and they knew it. The game opened with Bainbridge kicking off to Thomasville. On the second play of the game, the Bulldogs squeezed out with a 64 yard run to score. This made the Bearcats mad and with 24 seconds remaining in the first half, Rice took a screen pass from Early and ran, faked and bulled his way 33 yards for the one and only Bearcat TD. With 1.43 seconds of play left in the first half, Thomasville scored again. The second half opened with Thomasville begging down on our 29 yard line and never getting any further. While the Bearcats threatened again in the closing minutes of the gamey due to iniuries of many important players, they were unable to score again. BAINBRIDGE VS. CORDELE 19-22 Bainbridge won the toss and elected to receive. Getting off to a spectacular start, Searcy rabbed the pigskin, and went 20 yards, There Alford took tlfi honors for 40 yards. Searcy was called again and took to the one, where Alford went over for the TD. The Cats kicked off and were forced to punt and Searcy was caught behind the goal line for a Cordele safety. Early in the third quarter, Rice and Alford drove goalward for the Bearcats and Rice climaxed it with a 36 yard canter into the end zone for another TD. Cordele squeezed two TD's out in the 3rd quarter to make the score 19 to 16. lust as the final goal sounded, Cordele scrambled over the goal line to turn defeat into victory. BAINBRIDGE VS. CAMILLA 35-7 Camilla's class B Panthers proved to be no match for the Cats as they hammered out a 35 to 7 win. Rice led the way with three TD's and Searcy contributed two. The score at the end of the first half had the Cats lead- ing 28-0. The sparkling backfield action by Rice, Alford, Searcy, Dan- iels, and Early made this B.I-LS. Homecoming game one to be remembered. BAINBRIDGE VS. TIFTON 15-0 The Bearcats neatlyg trimmed the Blue Devils 15-O in Tifton. Rice scored the ,first TD for the Bearcats, the score coming at the end of an 89 yard march which started near the end of the fourth period. The second marker for the Cats came in the fourth quarter. A seven yard pass from Early to Larry Wilson, capped the TD drive. Early again put his arm into action by hitting Iimmy Iordon in the end zone for the-I extra point. With time left for one play, the Bearcats punted into the Blue Devils' end zone where a beautiful tackle by Pate Bridges stopped them for a Bainbridge safety. Tifton threatened only once when they came to the one yard line, but were unable to crack the stub- born, defensive Bearcat line. BAINBRIDGE VS. QUINCY 20-7 The Cats went into Florida ready and able, but were tripped by Quincy's fast running backs and hard hitting line. The Cats scored early in the first quarter on a pass play from Early to Duncan, and duplicated it for the extra point. Although the Cats lost they proved to be good loosers, and showed the spirit of a top notch ball club. The score resulted 20-7 in favor of the Tigers. BAINBRIDGE VS. OCILLA 0-0 The Bearcats went to Ocilla to wind up the season. The game ended just as it started, neither team penetrating the others' twenty-yard line, except when Ocilla came down to the five once, but were unable to push over for the TD, due to Wilson, Godwin, and Daniels, backed by the entire Bearcat line.
