EIGHTH GRADE Although we elected no class officers we undertook the traditional eighth-grade projects. The really big event that happens to every 8th grade is the trip to Albany. ln the beginning of the year, we planned to go sometime in the spring, especially when the legislature would be in session so we could leam firsthand some of the methods used in running a govemment. Not only did we learn about our capital but also, in Citizen- ship Education class, we leamed about the state we live in. To go along with our study we made New York State project maps showing the different cities and their chief manufactured products. ln Math we learned all about checks and matters concerning the bank along with our regular course of study. As part of our study we visited the bank and saw the vault with its store of safe deposit boxes and stacks of bills, and also the machines and their operation We wish to take this opportunity to thank our homeroom teachers for being so patient Wllh US Mrs, Butler and Mr. Albert. SEVE TH GRADES Under the direction of our homeroom teachers, Mrs. lord, Mrs, Cheesbro, and Mr. Palmer, we have had a very busy year. At the beginning of the year we were confronted with several new experiences and opportunities. Lugging heavy books from class to class, more homework, and doing write-ups for the Junior High section of the Blue and White are a few of these. One of the opportunities we enjoy very much is being able to ride on the spectator bus. Accompanied by Mr. Andrews and Mr. Nickerson, in October we visited the Rome Air Base in Rome, New York. We are looking forward to the traditional Cooperstown trip which we will be taking in June, First row left to right C Schmitz R Russell P Palmatier R Palmatier E Sipple J Wilson V Hartwell P Terry S Wilcox Second row A Chamberlin E Gorton P Arpin N LaShure S Donahe D Bailey D Wakeman D Gifford R Ireland D Davy R Searles Third row T Craver R Weissflog D Wilcox B Lawrence G Cutting H Woods R Palmatier D O Neil P Hotaling 1 - n 1 - v o 9 - 9 n g . , - 9 - g - . . q g . g . g . - 9 - , a 1 - , . g . g . . . 1 n - 1 ' 1 a I - 9 o , . , . , . . u - Q
