ROW 2: Terry Blackbourn, Bob Dear- born, Billy Baures, Mary Lu Newman, Shirley Kasparek, and Roger Bradlev. On August 31, 1956, nineteen bashful freshmen entered Bagley High School. They were Terry Blackbourn, Wilber Kelley, Shirley Kasparek, Joy Knight, Fay Schnitzler, Dan LaMere, Charles Strack, Lloyd Sedlmayr, Mary Lu Newman, Mary Marvin, LaVern Meng, Sylvia Horstman, Doreen Fuller, William Baures, Merton Cota, Roger Bradley, Patricia Suck, Michael Hohn, and Marilyn Moore. Merton Cota and Terry Blackbourn received basketball and baseball suits this year, and Doreen Fuller was a cheerleader During our Sophomore year we lost four of our class mem- bers. Charles Strack left us to attend school in Prairie, and Sylvia Horstman moved to Jefferson after the first semester. Michael Hohn and Fay Schnitzer left to help at home on the farm. We also gained two new members that year. They were Suzanne Atterbury and Bob Dearborn. This year Merton Cota, Bob Dearborn, Terry Blackbourn, and Danny LaMere received basketball suits. We were proud that Doreen Fuller and Suzanne Atterbury represented our class as cheerleaders. Merton and Terry also received baseball suits. The size of our class decreased in our Junior year, as Marilyn Moore, Joy Knight, Mary Marvin, Wilber Kelley, and Lloyd Sedlmayr departed from school. We also lost Suzanne At- terbury because she moved to Oklahoma. Those on the basketball team this year were Merton Cota,Bob Dearborn, and Dan LaMere. Terry Blackbourn was manager,and Doreen Fuller was cheerleader. Sophomore Clas s History In the fall of 1957, there were eight enrolled in the Freshman Class. They were Connie Blackbourn, Neva Baures, Jr. Keesey, John Meng, Darrell Cooley, Bruce Gulick, Dennis Fuller, and Melvin Dearborn. The boys that took part in basketball that year were Dennis Fuller, John Meng, Melvin Dearborn, Darrell Cooley, Jr. Keesey, and Bruce Cfulick. All of the boys also participated in baseball. Our class officers for the year were Dennis Fuller, president, Melvin Dearborn, vice- presidentg John Meng, treasurer, and Connie Blackbourn, secretary. In our Sophomore year Neva Baures left our class leaving us with only seven members. All of the boys were out for basketball and base- ball this year, and two of our members were in the prom court. They were Connie Blackbourn and John Meng. Our class officers for this year were Dennis Fuller, presidentg John Meng, vice-president, Melvin Dearborn, treasurer, and Connie Blackbourn, secretary. Dale Mann, Dale Meng, Diane Sedlrnayr, Mary Caya, Eileen Caya, Dorothy Suck, Herbert Ashmore, Ricky Gulick, Barbara Fishler, and Sandra Cooley came from Bagley. A few weeks after school started, Mary and Eileen Caya left and moved to Galena. Jeanette Longhi entered our class then from Chicago. The boys that played basketball this year are Herbert Ash- more, Dale Meng, Burdette Willard, Vern Peterson, Jack Hamil- ton, and Ricky Gulick. Dale Mann was the manager and Dorothy Suck was a cheerleader. The boys that went out for baseball are Burdette Willard, Ricky Gulick, Jack Hamilton, Vern Peterson, and Dale Meng. Dale Mann was the baseball manager. Our class officers: president, Sandra Cooley, vice president, Dale Manng secretary, Dorothy Suckg treasurer, Burdette Willard. The subjects which we have taken this year are English, civics, algebra, and general science.
