Teachers Mr. James Horsfall, our principal, came to Bagley during the year of 1949. He attended the University of Wisconsin a year, then was drafted into the U.S. Army and was abroad a short time. On his return he re-entered the University where he met Joann whom he married. He is now building his home across from the schoolhouse. They have a family of two boys, John and Joe. Mr. Day, our social science teacher, resides at the William Schreiner home, where he lives with his wife, Jackie and daughter, Connie. He formerly taught at Trempealeau and Bloomington. He plans on leaving the teaching profession to take up farming near Prairie. Miss Geneva Studier resides at the Belle Nash home. Her parents home is at New.Diggins. She has formerly taught at Rewey, Milltown and Arena. Besides teaching English she directed our school plays and forensics. The three one -act, all school plays were given October 27. There was a matinee in the afternoon and a formal showing that night. They were Life with Willie, Shock ofHis Life, and A Date for Bobby-Sox. Miss Mary Kenny's original home is in Portage, Wisconsin. She stays at Lulu Glass home here in Bagley. She has taught in Dane, Kenosha and Grant counties. Mrs. Ruth Ryan lives with her husband Bernard in a trailer situated next to Joe Behlmers garage. She is also Girl Scout leader. Mrs. Evelyn Calkins present teacher of the sixth, seventh, and eighth grade, taught English in high school the year of 1949-50. She lives with her mother and son, Bobbie, in the Calkins home on the corner across from the school. Her hus- band, Ralph, enlisted in the Red Cross and is' now in Japan. Ev .Di
