The Junior Class entered as green Freshmen in 1949. They enrolled as a group of fourteen. They were: Jeanette Harris, James Harris, Barbara Woodington Ruth Nivarel, Clarice Ward, Bing Oswald, Willis Bedward, Donald Long, Carol McKinney, Jeanette Loehndorf, Jim Jones, Avery Kelly, Delbert Brandon, and Melvin Jerrit. Delbert and Melvin left the class they had finished their first year. In the Sophomore year Wayne Horstman entered with us but left during the second semester. Clarice left at the end of the same year. In our Junior year Sylvia Nivarel joined us but left just before the second semester. Willis and Bing were on the A team this year. For the past two years Ruth Nivarel, Jeanette Loehndorf, and Carol McKinney have been cheerleaders. Bing was elected as our Prom King and has chosen Carol as his Queen. The theme is to be Harbor Lights with music by Jack Hefti, and is to be held May 4, 1951. The class is looking forward to next year when they will graduate. The Sophomores entered school as Freshmen in a body of twelve. They in- cluded: Dick Kendall, Jack McLimans, Fred Plondke, Charles Hale, Roger Esser, Robert Horstman, Margaret Jishler, Irene Long, Ruth Gulick, Sandra Woodington, Gene Clark, and Joann Fishler. Joann didn't return to school her Sophomore year as did the rest of them. Edward Mezera entered retaining it to a class of twelve but left them after the first semester. Fred Plondke was the class star in basket- ball, playing all year on the A team. Ruth Gulick is an outstanding oratory speaker and hopes to go far this year. The school was enlarged by a big Freshman Class this year, of twenty-two. Consisting of: Sally Trine, LaVon Sandleback, Dorothy Bean, Elaine Haville, Eileen Champion, Beth Clark, June Harris, Janis Warrington, Anna Mae Stagman, Donald Moon, Bernard Boldt, Berlyn Cathman, Lyle Harris, Douglas Horstman, Jon Oswald, Tom Malay, Franklin Gilkes, Roger Horstman, Donovan Warrington, Ronald Harris, and Edna Mercer. Edna left just before Christmas. Birdie Lou Valdovinos joined them a few weeks later making them a class of twenty-two again. Jon played part of the time on the A team while the rest of the boys did their share also. The class proudly posesses a straight A student, LaVon Sandleback. 8 -4 --ls..!n.r
