Glau Jlulafuf It all happened in the fall of 1951 when the harvest was brought ln 110 papooses started their freshman year Mr Hoff and Miss Robinson were our supervisors and Bud Evenson our president Helping hlm out in the trlbes work was Marljan St George as secretary treasurer Defraln Courtney and Lowell Jordon were our representatives to the Peace Councll Candidates for King and Queen were Marilyn Smith and Bob Setterberg Bob Setterberg relgned as Carnival King that year We gave a roller skating party to the sophmores ln the old gym Homecomlng came around and we dldn't win a prlse The harvest wasnt quite so abundant in 52-53, a few braves dropped from the roll Our president this year was James Petenon Gerald Rlewer vlce-president and Dale LaRoque secretaryvtreasurer worked with him ln governing the tribe Our class was represented 'by Bob Betterberg and Claude Peterson at the Indian Peace Coun cll. Our medtolns men were Mr Mellstrom and Mr Glueslng Mildred Christensen and James Peterson were our candidates for Carnival King and Queen Homecoming came and went and we found that we again did not get a prlse The harvest was even less this year 58-54 with a few warriors dropping from the roll. Our tribal advi sors were Mrs Vahda Olson and Mr Ronald Johnson. Our president was Defrain Courtney and was assisted by Gerald Rlewer vice president Bob Setterberg kept all our wampum safe and our records clear as secretary treasurer We had James Peterson and Janice Lewis attend the Peace Council and pass the peace pipe around Candidates for Carnival King and Queen were our twins Geraldine and Gerald Rlewer The American Legion and Auxiliary sponsored Girls and Boys State Azela Gohl attended Girls State and James Peterson Boys State The junior class play Our Hearts Were Young and Gay financed our banquet The banquet was a ed and had a very entertaining evening Since the senlors were ln debt we had to tlnance our own traditional spring plcnlc The harvest of '54-55 was very abundant for the old chiefs had passed away and we reigned head of the Indian nation James Peterson appeared again as president and Audry Eggen as vice-president Ruth Ellis was a very efficient secretary treasurer and handled our precious wampum which we got from our Senior Class Play Curtain Going Up Chiefs Bob Setterberg and Lowell Jordon attended the Peace Council We wish to thank all our advisors especially Mrs Evenson and Mr Hess who made our senior year the wonderful year it was Our Carnlval candidates were Linda Olson and Gale Cheney Homecoming drew nearer and nearer and committees were selected for all the various activities The whole Indian nation elected Shirley Strand to reign over BHS Homecoming with Linda Olson Mildred Chrlstenson and Marilyn Courtney her attendants We the class of 55 won first prlse on our float under the slogan Pound the Hounds After many moons of studying reciting go- mg to the trading post for a snack and signing annuals the final day arrived After we received our last feather for our accomplishments we said farewell to our many frlends Now in a few moons the senior class of 55 will be scattered around the whole world and only until we meet at the Happy Hunting Grounds will we know what our tribe has accomplished to make the world a better place ln which to llve 24 O great success, ln which we had a Hawaiian theme. It took place ln the B1-LS. teepee and all the warriors attend-
