CLASS HIS TORY September 1, 1936 was an exciting day for twelve frightened little children, who then began their school days in good old B. H. S. They were: jim Ander- son, Charlotte Bullock, Phyllis Cornelius, june Cramer, Lois Duncan, Loren Edwards, Bobby Logsdon, Donald Myers, Marylee O'Connell, Marion Rushton, Ronald Smith, and Elwood Thomas. Mildred Long and Darold Fitz. joined our class in the second grade and El' wood Thomas moved away. Our class number increased to sixteen in the third grade. The new mem' bers were: Mary Ayers, jean Derry, Earl Myers, Lois Grassmeier, and Bobby Logsdone moved away. In the fourth grade we added two more new members. Colleen Ellett and Betty Kiner. Mildred Long moved to Bayard. In the fifth grade we had eighteen members. Grace Clark and Loyd Huston started and Earl Myers dropped out. Our class started to decrease in the sixth grade. jo Radebaugh was our only new member. Marion Rushton, Loren Edwards, Mary Ayers, Colleen Ellett, and Betty Kiner all moved away. jim Anderson, Phyllis Cornelius, Lois Duncan, Donald Myers, Leon Pierce, and Gordon Behrens dropped out in the seventh grade. and we had no new mem' bers. Joanne Finley, Marcella Dresback, and Mervin Cornelius joined our class of ten in eighth grade. In 1944 fifteen green, awkward freshmen entered the assembly and made a wild dive for the back seats. We added three more new members: Lorraine Bilbrey, jim jackson, and Dick Taylor. Mervin Cornelius moved to Dennison. As usual we were initiated, we all proved to be good sports. A year passed by and we were sophomores. Grace Clark moved and Hale Collins started in our class. Our classmate, Loyd Huston passed away in August of' 1946. He joined our class in the fifth grade and had had many friends. We shall always remember him as a very popular student and a good athlete. We entered our junior year minus three more of our members: Lorraine Bilbrey, Dick Taylor, and Ronald Smith. Now as seniors, we have only a small class of nine. Six girls are on the basketball team, and the two boys are on the baseball, football, and basketball teams. Norma Luxfordjoined our class this year. We lost Hale Collins, june Cramer, and Marcella Dresback, Only Charlotte Bullock and Marylee O'Connell have started and finished in Bagley Independent School.

SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY While visiting in my old home town last week, I looked up all of my former classmates, It was quite surprising to learn of their new positions in life. Let me tell you about them. Due to the death of the late Charles Atlas, Darold Fitz has taken over his position, Perhaps you have seen his picture in magazines. Drop a card in the mail tomorrow for your muscle building instruction book. Every night I tune in to the Lucky Strike Program only hear Charlotte Bullock who has taken the place of F. E. Boone as auctioneer. She has gained world wide publicity as being the only woman auctioneer. Do you students remember the letter posted on the bulletin board? jean Derry took it to heart and went to Washington, D, C. to work for the F. B. I, She has proved herself satisfactory for she has taken the place of Miss Miller on the District Attorney Program. ljust heard the other day that Joanne Finley was married, and to Roger Davis of Perry, They are living on a farm near here and from all appearances seem to be very happy. A few weeks ago when I was visiting my aunt in Jamaica I met my former classmate Lois Grassmeier. She informed me she was teaching history and English in the high school there. We had a merry little chat about old times in high school. As I was looking through a newspaper the other day I came across an article about the famous orchestra leader, Herman Peabody, and his wife, who is the former Norma Luxford and also my classmate in school. I was astonished by the headlines in the Des Moines Tribune, Sally Rand has a new performer . It seemed an interesting topic so I continued reading only to find that jo Radebaugh has filled the position. And last but not least I must tell you about jim jackson. He is doing slightly different work than I expected. He is one of those traveling salesmen. I-Ie's been married for a couple of years to janet Safely. Of course, that's not so surprising-'after all he wasn't a wolf in high school for nothing.
