BLOOD DONATIONS While the ship was in Yokosuka, the Red Cross brought a mobile Blood Bank aboard. The enthusiasm with which the men contributed was very gratifying to see, and once more the Bing Ding did herself proud.

A little spare time and favorable weather were all that were necessary to start the teams roughing it up for the ship's divisional gridiron championship, won this year by ER Division Various divisions formed not only football teams for intra-ship competition, but also mustered basketball softball and volleyball teams.
