COMMUNION BREAKFAST :11 eyes tum upward as Fr. Miller elevates the consecrated Senior officers gather at head table for breakfast. OSt. One of the most important services of the graduation exercises took place early Thursday of exam week. It was the morning of the Baccalaureate Mass. Seniors joined with their parents in celebrating Mass and receiving Holy Communion. Following the Mass was a breakfast served by members of the sophomore class. Carmela LoPriore and Janet Jacobs can't seem to remember on which side the tassle belongs. PREPARA TION Mike Baynes and Judy Kroeger receive Communion for the last time at Badin.

Class president Tim Hinkel served as salutatorian. Bis- hop Edward McCarthy gave the main address and stressed the opportunities present to youth in our soci- ety. Bishop McCarthy presented Ron Smith with the Stephen T. Badin Medal of Honor for outstanding leader- ship. Jodie Brix received the Archbishop MCNicholas Award as the student who most exemplifies the ideals of Christian involvement and leadership. The scholastic achievement of Dick Zettler gained him the Archbishop Alter Award. The newly-established Sister Vincent Award was given to Greg Fawns for service to the school. Father Francis Miller, principal, assisted in the granting of diplomas. ABOVE: Fr. Miller, Bishop McCarthy, and Sr. Vincent patiently await the next graduate to come forward to receive his diploma.
