Although the Rams were defeated in their first confrontation of the year they courageously came back to end the season with a very impressive record. To ac- complish this, teamwork, per- severance, and seIf-discipline were needed on the part of both the coaches and the team. The desire to win, in a sportsmanlike manner, was instilled by the coaches in the players, and was responsible for the outstanding effort shown by every member of the team. Mr. Gene Barnhom shaped the freshmen into a team. The reserves enjoyed Victories over rival Fairfield and tough Moeller. The one blot on the record was a tight 16-8 loss to an alert Fenwick eleven. The Frosh held their own against a bigger Moeller team. The six Victories were marred by a heart-breaking 8-6 loss to Fairfield. An intercepted pass and runback gave Fairfield its score. The game ended with the little Rams on Fairfield's one- yard line. RESER VES SCORE 6-1 RECORD FROSH END SEASON 6-1-1 KNEELING: D. Hulshult, D. Cooke, R. Schock, C. Geyer, R. Baker, J. Klamo, D.
