Some 150 present and former chiefs as- sembled on the night of December 22 for the 48th annual Christmas feast sponsored by the braves and squaws The party theme was centered around the popular poem, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. After feasting on wild turkey and all the trimmings, the merry makers settled back to listen to the after dinner remarks of Terry McDonnell, toastmaster, who portrayed Papa in the poem. Harriet Hartshorn, sophomore, represented the mouse; Joe Palms, fresh- man, the empty stocking; Jerry English, jun- ior, the children were nestled all snug in their beds; Lois Stirrett, senior, the filled stocking. Mrs. Richard Lynch, faculty speak- er, represented Mrs. Santa Claus; and Ed Swackhamer, alumnus, returned to speak of the reindeer. Mrs. Ralph Vanstone gave some humorous readings, and Gary Rogers sang After the feast, the scene shifted to the gvmrasium where music of Dick Oxley s or- chestra provided incentive for dancing
