CLASS HISTORY OF 194R Page 20 In the Fall of 1944, 98 green freshmen decided to go and see just what this Bad Axe High School was. Having much to do, we promptly chose the following officers: President Vice-President Secretary Treasurer Class Representative Class Sponsors Pat Herriman Don Rogers Elinor Sticg Mona Me Farlane Eddie Clark Miss Ross and Miss Kaufman Beginning our high school career we were initiated at the happy traditional party given by the sophomores. On the other hand, we also had sorrow, as two of our classmates, Caroline Wilde and Betty Britt, died in accidents. The next year 95 sophomores came back and initiated the freshman. We elected the fol- lowing officers: President Vice-President Secretary Treasurer Class Representative Class Sponsors Ed Murray Don Rogers .................Joe Ruth Pete Flannery Eddie Clark Miss Dal en and Frank DeChane In the fall of 1946, 77 juniors came back to continue our education with the following officers: President Vice-President Secretary T reasurer Class Representative Class Sponsors Faye Reichelt Doris Hanson Beth Rapson Elinor Stieg Mickey Alexander Miss Dalzen and Mr. Stoner We gave the play “Bottoms Up , and the year was climaxed by our annual J-Hop. At last the fall of 1947 arrived, and we still had 75 dignified seniors. To guide us through the year we chose the following officers: President Vice-President Secretary T reasurer Class Representative Class Sponsors Don Rogers Rosemary Sullivan Mickey Alexander Arleene Jurgess Eddie Clark Mr. Lamb and Mr. Lynch This year, our last, was a busy one, but we took time to present the play “Junior Prom”, December 16, 1947. We also sponsored the annual Christmas Banquet, which was a great suc- cess. To climax our senior year, we sponsored the Senior Prom, which terminated our high school career successfully.
