B., Professor of Science, is a man of dignified bearing and a physical giant. In his talks to students, both in the class room and on the athletic field, he never fails to drive home the necessity of developing into a Machine He never fails to make an announce- ment at the close of Chapel. There is a healthful hardiness about dignity that never dreads contact and communion with others, however humble. Mr. J. R. Steel, our thoroughly eiiicient English teach- er, has spent several months in England and seems to be interested in ancient ruins and castles. He has a great fund of historical facts at his command. His special hobby is giving lectures and many a delinquent stud- ent has felt the sting of his sarcasm. Has a habit of looking at you with eyes that reveal the seriousness and the earnestness of his mind. A close reader and a deep thinker. Certain thoughts are prayers, there are Moments when whatever be the attitude Of the body, the sonl is on its knees. Mr. E. D. Cave, head ofthe Mathematics Department, has only been with us one term, but nevertheless, he is one who has proven that he is thoroughly able to handle his department. He is brief and to the point in his ex- planations. He is liked by the students because he is subject to sickness.
