Graduation is rapidly approaching Where have all the years gone? It seems just yesteryear That we were freshmen entering Bacon. As freshmen we had to memorize the Baconian Or we could have brushed up on “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star It was a good thing for many of us That the initiation wasn’t carried out. We then started our first big fund raiser By selling candles. In our sophomore year we put on a pancake breakfast. Some of our chefs went overboard and ended up Peeling batter off the ceiling of the home-ec room. Our spaghetti dinner was a big success because By that time we had some good cooks. As the juniors prepared for their prom, We “cleaned up ” for our car wash. Many of those cars went to the prom Looking as good as new (maybe even better!). That next year, we became juniors and Eagerly awaited our prom. The prom committee made the decisions on the Place, the food, and the band. Our prom turned out to be a memorable event For most of us. No one can forget our group of talented Dancers and singers, nor our beautiful queen. As seniors we begin to count Down those final days to graduation. We started our senior year by selling Christmas ornaments, which went rather well. We had the traditional candy sale with hopes To cut the cost of our senior banquet. No one will forget the time when it was Finally our chance to go to Great Adventure! Our Banquet was sure to be one of the best- We have our officers and advisors to Thank for that! These four years at Bacon Academy will always Bring back fond memories of the happy times We've shared together as a class. -Sheryl Cameron

You saw teachers 180 days during the year, but did you really know them? Most of the teachers not only stay the required time after school, but also devote time to clubs, organizations, and sports. These teachers really care for their students’ success and will do anything to help them. How can we ever thank them for all they have given us: knowledge, hope, and friendship? The Class of 1983, therefore, has decided to dedicate this year’s Baconian to all the teachers who have helped to make these four years at Bacon memorable ones. A special thanks goes to Mrs. Freedman for everything she went through as an advisor for the Class of 1983. All of the aggravation of waiting for students to bring in their candle money and their ornament money (did they ever?). H e can’t forget the exciting pancake breakfast and the spaghetti dinner! It’s a good thing she was there to show the guys how to boil water for the spaghetti. H e owe her apprecia- tion for putting up with the rowdy class meetings, we couldn’t have gotten anything done if she hadn’t. We thank her for helping in every way to make our prom a memorable event. We know how much she looks forward to her year off after years of being a class advisor, but we hope that the class of 1983 will be one that will be remembered by her as “one of a kind’’. Indeed, we as a class, will always remember Mrs. Freedman not only as our advisor, but as a close friend. 2
