What will the class of 1982 be doing at their ten year class reunion other than recalling the scandalous epi- sodes that took place at Great Adventures in New Jersey? Chances are they might talk about the Prom held at the Royal Banquet Hall in Lisbon on May 8, 1981 while dancing to it's theme, Eric Clapton’s “Wonderful To- night . Or maybe they will remember the infamous sophomore car wash held for those members of the class of 1981 going to their prom. And how could anyone forget the Bacon Academy “Chainsaw Mas- sacre in the student parking lot, or the Boys’ Basket- ball Team capturing the State Class S Title? With graduation on their minds they might speak of how the class of 1982 was the first to have to graduate with 21 credits and a passing grade on the math competency exam. Could they, perhaps, talk of how they saw the Roll- ing Stones in concert in October of '81 while the band hired for the evening bursts into a sentimental rendi- tion of “Start Me Up”, the class’ most popular song during their senior year. Will they remember Dudley Moore from the movie “Arthur”, or “Stripes”, their favorite movie? Alan Alda from “M A S'H”, and Mean Joe Green with the kid from the Coke com- mercial will seem to be classics as will the saga of Luke and Laura on “General Hospital”. The look of the '80's will surely be recreated sartori- ally. Someone will show up in the traditional Levi’s garb while others will pull out their old Sergio Va- The Class Of 1982 J lente’a or Calvin’s. Still others will recall and wear the black soled boot forebidden in the hallways at Bacon. Maybe even a pair of Leather pants or Sporto’s might crop up. They will discuss popular issues of the '80’s such as the hostages being released from Iran at the same i time of the inauguration of President Ronald Reagan, I waking up at 6 a.m. to watch the Royal Wedding of , Prince Charles and Lady Di in England, the assassi- nation attempts on the President and the Pope; the launching of the space shuttle, the plane crash in the Potomac, the appointment of Sandra O'Connor as the first female Supreme Court Justice. Reaganomics, and Polish Solidarity. They will remember the important political figures we lost such as State Governor Ella Grasso, State Representative William Cotter, and Egypt's Anwar Sa- | dat. The assassination of John Lennon and the resur- gence of Beatlemania will also be a subject for discussion. Perhaps the 52 persons out of the 82 members of the class that plan to go to college will tell of their j| career plans. Will the class really consist of eight com- puter programmers, seven business persons, four nurses, three lawyers, two commercial artists, and a meteorologist, amongst other things? These and other puzzles can only be answered by the class of '82 in '92. The following lists are the favorite songs and movies of the graduating class.
