Stanley Stefanowicz, Art, B.S. Massa- chusetts College of Art, M.A. Hartford Art School, Advisor to Photography Club. Demonstrating, enlightening, caring . . . the roles of our Stagemanagers Getting started is half the fun. Being there has never been easy. For one thing, the teacher has to get through numerous pages of printed matter to single out that which is important to those particular students who are trying to get their heads together, their coats off, and to tune in to the latest gossip, which one faculty member calls the social cement of Colchester. All this would'nt be so bad if it could be accomplished from 7:50 to 7:56 AM, but just when everyone has raced through it all and is ready to head for the door, that friendly voice comes over the loud speaker to remind us all that homeroom has been extended, for the distribution of senior candy, band and chorus salethons, taking of senior portraits, and the sale of yearbooks. It's then that we turn around, drop into our seats, shake our heads, roll our eyes and by doing so express to each other that everything is normal. Joanne Bryant, Home Economics, B.S. Pennsylvania State, M.S. University of Conn., Advisor to Home Economics Club. Roger Thulin, Band, B.A. Hartt College of Music, President, Eastern States Mu- sic Association. 11

Joseph Brady-Science, Outing Club Ad- visor Stephen Potter-Industrial Arts Donald Levine-Varsity Coach; Girls' Bas ketball; Tutor Gretta Mullen-Tutor John Malsbenden-Social Studies, B.A. Keene State College, M.A. University of New Hampshire Other than being principal of Bacon Academy in 1975 and 1976, and being a teach- er here for four years, Dr. Franklin A. Gross has been teaching psychology at the University of Hartford fot twenty-six years. Finding any spare time in Doc's life is very hard. He's a consultant in the National Broadcasting Company, and to a television series Off the Wall , and he's also the advi- sor to the Different Drum- mer Theatre group. Not to mention the wonderful new twist he added to the Senior Follies of last year with the dinner theatre type of atmo- sphere. He's been involved in theatre for more than thirty years and in that time he's done hundreds of plays. Many of his former students have continued on to be- come professionals. If Doc ever finds any spare time, he enjoys it by doing wood carvings, particularly miniature furniture and peo- ple. Doc enjoys everything he does and just plain loves to stay busy. We would like to thank Doc for his very special contributions and in- fluences given to Bacon, may we always be as fortunate as to have such quality on our staff. Franklin Gross-Social Studies, B.A. Uni- versity of Hartford, M.S. Boston Univer- sity, Phd. University of Connecticut.
