Demonstrating, enlightening, caring . . . the roles of our Stagemanagers Getting started is half the fun. Being there has never been easy. For one thing, the teacher has to get through numerous pages of printed matter to single out that which is important to those particular students who are trying to get their heads together, their coats off, and to tune in to the latest gossip, which one faculty member calls the social cement of Colchester. All this would'nt be so bad if it could be accomplished from 7:50 to 7:56 AM, but just when everyone has raced through it all and is ready to head for the door, that friendly voice comes over the loud speaker to remind us all that homeroom has been extended, for the distribution of senior candy, band and chorus salethons, taking of senior portraits, and the sale of yearbooks. It's then that we turn around, drop into our seats, shake our heads, roll our eyes and by doing so express to each other that everything is normal. Joanne Bryant, Home Economics, B.S.
