l CHEERLEADERS Cheer Leaders The Orange and Black can always be seen in gala array. clashing on and off during one of our hectic football or basketball games. Lauretta Brown. captain of the first team squad, had Lillian Kresel, Phyllis Rogers, jean Ineson. Gerry Baxter. Katie Whalen. Gertrude Dickinson. and Doris Brown to cheeri the team on. To ,add variety. Richard Van Brunt. Edward Weinstein. james Grittiths. and Harvey Cardon were the center of attraction at all games and will always be remembered for their peppy Conga Cheer. jean Corrigan. Betty Ryan. jean Downs. jane Roberts. and Priscilla Polley composed the second team. Miss Dickinson was the coach and advisor. Girls ' Leaders, Club Girls Leaders' Club has has participated rn many of the school's activities this year. The entire Girls' Leaders' Club participated rn an evening program of the Parent Teachers Club, presenting some of the phases of marching. Ofhrers are--fLauretta Brown. President: Phyllis Rogers. Secretary. During their one period a week the girls work on the sport ot that particular season. In gym classes. they assist Mrs. Rogers by lead- ing airoups and helping other members of the class with the fundamentals of various sports, At football and basketball games. the girls sold candy and. with the profrt made. went to Nets York to a maior league baseball game.
