LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT We, the Senior Class of Nineteen Hundred Sixty-One, B. F. Grady High School, in the county of Duplin, state of North Carolina, being of sound mind and body do hereby declare and make this our Last Will and Testament. Article I To B. F. Grady School, we leave our love and a host of happy memories for it is here that we began our harvest of learning. Article II To Mr. H. M. Wells, our principal, we leave our gratitude for the cooperation and leadership he has given us. Article III To the School Faculty we leave our thanks for helping to guide our steps by motivating and stim- ulating us to greater growth. Article IV To the underclassmen, we leave the hope that they will achieve even greater heights of learm.ig in the coming years. Article V Individual bequests: Faye Harper wills her love of pizza parties to Geri Wiggins. Robert Dail wills his reading ability to Baby Holmes. Billy Jones leaves his ability to get along with Mrs. Davis to Duck Hill (providing he is a hundred miles away). Katherine Dunn wills her ability to warm the bench to Joan Westbrook. Lewis Smith wills his ability to study to Dwight Sheppard. Judi Kornegay leaves her dimples to another cute Judy (Faye Smith) so Clayton will like her. Gail Grady wills her ability to get off class to Mary Linda Grady and Phyllis Outlaw. Nell Howard wills her love of Beulaville to Gwen Bishop. Carolyn Grady bequeaths her ability to play basketball to Mary Louise Stafford and her bus, Number 9, to anyone who wants it. Judith Bostic leaves her love of basketball to Mary Stafford and hopes that she will enjoy it as much as she has. Linda Rouse wills her temper to Mr. Stewart since he doesn ' t have one. Betty Lou Sanderson wills her hearts collection to Miss Grady in hopes that she will add Mr. Edgar Wells to it and her Limousine 7 to Duck Hill. Deloris Taylor wills her love for black hair and brown eyes to Judy Faye Smith. Jackie Miller wills her ability to play on the All East Basketball Team to anyone who can jump high enough. Janice Holt wills her love of Chapel Hill to Miss Grady. Zylphia Carol Smith leaves her ability to chatter and her idiosyncrasies to Sandra Atkinson. Linda Stroud wills her good times at NuPont Drive Inn and Carlyle ' s to Daphney Stroud and Carol Heath. Peggy Sue Williams bequeaths her extra pounds to Mary Ann Gresham and her school bus to the bus mechanic. Carolyn Jones wills her seat on 48 to Katherine Taylor and hopes that she will enjoy it as much as she has. Melda Harper leaves her talent for making taffy to Dorothy Jernigan. Dennis Stroud leaves his quiet ways to Laurie Glenn Jackson. Joyce Lee wills her beautiful brown eyes to Ed West so he ' ll have two pairs to look at the cheerleader. Elsie Jean Outlaw Taylor leaves her love of curly hair to Patricia Bell. Eleanor Herring Boyette wills her ability to cook to Joan Smith so she can boil water without burning it. Willie Rae Rouse leaves her long hair to Linda Faye Williamson and Edna Joyce Stroud. Carolyn Bell wills her ability to drive Lizzie to Gaynell Waters and her bus to Patricia Sell. Dorothy Stroud bequeaths her naturally curly hair to PatysyHarper. Irene Herring wills her big feet to Jo Ann Barnette so she can stand up to Mr. Edgar Wells. BettyAnn Hardy Waters leaves her love for French to Barbara Dean Smith and hopes she ' ll get more out of it than she put into it. Donnie Mercer bequeaths his laziness to Donald Heath. Kenny Page bequeaths his ability to stay away from cops to Donald Williams. Clayton Creel wills his love for Miss Grady and her 9th grade to anyone who would like to accept it. Woodrow Heath wills his crew cut to Jimmie Turner. Robert Smith leaves his ability to shoot pool to Larry Davis. Wanda Kay Byrd wills her height to Ruth Ann Rhodes. Everette Westbrook leaves his ability to read to Braxton Smith.
