CHEERLEADERS COME ALIVE UBBBC JJL lJs J V, cheerleaders did not attend summer camp this year but will attend alot of workshops and compete in many com- petions. The VARSI- TY SONGLEADERS also at- tended camp at N.C.A. Spirit Camp. Bringing home spirit stick and sev- eral superior ribbons. The 5 Homecoming Princesses •e selected by the A.H.S. Student Body and presented -the annual Homecoming Rally with many alumni at ■tending. The Aztecs saw 1978-79 Queen Dee Dee Ayon crown 1979-80 Queen Edie Aldana. The Aztecs did their f job and beat Charter Oak with a score of 21-14. Music was provided by Second Wind, and was sponsored by the Turoquoi Club and Jr. Civitan Club, 60 Valentine Dance ALL OF MY LOVE me AHS 1980 prom was held at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles on May 31, 1980. The prom was sponsored by the Jr. class as is traditional. Advisor was Mrs. Leota Batt. Junior Class Officers: Gov. Scott Schmit, Lt, Gov. Wendy Silva. All couples en- joyed an enchanted evening. Sports 161 GOLF DRIVES INTO A GOOD SEASON This year the only thing we could be sure of was the rain. It rained the first month of golf season. We were placed in a league with South Hills and Don Lugo as the leading contenders. Peter Toller was our only returning varsity letterman. Even though he played the first part of the season undefeated it was not enough to carry an untried team to a league championship.
