CLASS PROPHECY Several years have passed smce 1958 our year of graduatron Our classmates have had ample trme to develop themselves rn therr chosen careers We havrng rnherrted a large fortune and lrkrng nothrng better than to travel have decrded to pay each of them a vrsrt We shall hop rnto our new Rocket Mobrle the accepted vehrcle of the present trme and we shall be on our way We decrded to begrn our trrp rn the Southeast corner of our natron the sunny State of Florrda We were fortu nate for wrthrn a few hours we were able to locate one of our classmates LAWRENCE ZIMMERMAN He told us he was tryrng a new type of farm program but that he was not dorng very well We were not surprrsed smce the property he owned was located rn the Florrda Everglades We vrsrted next the beautrful crty of the Mardr Gras New Orleans We stopped at one of the hrghspots of the town called the Ramey Bros Nrght Club There we found TED RAMEY tendmg the bar, and DIANN EICHENAUER was the hat check grrl We learned that she was soon to become part owner of the Club We moved on to Texas where we found DANNY BEAUPRE testrng some new Rocket Mobrles He told us the open range was approprrate for the tests as long as the mufflers were not too loud, for they had been known to cause stampedes whrch annoyed the nerghborrng ranchers Now came an excztrng part of our trrp We were gorng to Hollywood the crty of great stars We were really surprrsed to frnd that one of the great actors was JIM MARTIN He had become famous as an understudy to Lou Costello In another studro we met ERNIE TOBIAS, the second Emmet Kelly He sard that rf he had hrs way rn a few years there would be only one great Kelly In a recordrng studro rn Hollywood we found the newest hrt as a rock and roll srnger, GRACE PORTER She was thrnkrng of dorng duets wrth Elvrs Presley Speakrng of Elvrs, one of our classmates, LARRY RETCHER, was a prospectrve member of hrs crew He was shoe shrne boy for Elvrs and caretaker of the Presley hound dogs MARGE HOELLRICH had become famous as an operator of a dret school for the Hollywood actresses Whrle flyrng over the North, we ran out of fuel and were forced to land rn Alaska We walked about a mrle and then came upon an Eskrmo vrllage Srnce rt had a tradrng post, we decrded to go there We were pleased to frnd that JERRY ZIMMERMAN was the proprretor He rnformed us that he had marrred one of the Eskrmo women and was mdeed very happy Frrghtened by thrs rncrdent we decrded to go to a warmer clrmate In Arrzona we stayed at the resort of CAROLE QMANSFIELDJ ENGLE She had a frne estate Not far from Carole's found MARIE RUDOLPH She gave frrst ard to the students as they came from Professor Colwe11's classes Havrng always wanted to observe a real TV program we decrded to go to New York We drscovered that KEITH BOTT had secured a posrtron as player of the French hom wrth the Lawrence Welk orchestra We also were entertarned by hrs new Italran srngrng sensatron LORETTA SCHUBERT When we returned to our hotel that eve nrng, we met two drstrngurshed lookrng boys JOHN FOLK and RONNIE SCHOMBURG were bell hops rn thrs famous hotel Srnce we had hrt all the hrghspots, we thought we would take rn the not too prosperous part of New York too We notrced that a large popcorn factory had the name Smrth 8zCo pamted on rt, and on rnqurrmg we found that DAVE SMITH was the proprretor The company was not too prosperous and the reparrman DENNIS SCHALL was frndrng rt hard to keep all the popcorn machmes together A few of our classmates were not content to stay rn the U S and had traveled to Europe To complete our tour we crossed the ocean and looked them up Frrst we met PAT DUNBAR rn an army camp rn France She held a very hrgh posrtron servrng KP rn the WACS In Parrs we saw VIRGINIA GREMLING a well known model of the comrc strrps We formd that MAXINE JOHNSTON was the cartoonrst who had made Vrrgrnra famous We also vrsrted JOHN SCHATZ rn the Sovret Unron He was employed by the Russran Govemment as a Screntrst for Mars Inc that rs, Mars candy bars We learned that because of the hrgh prrce of candy bars rn Russra he was becomrng a very wealthy man Weary but pleased wrth our trrp we flew home On our arrrval at our home town we drscovered that we had not been able to locate one of our classmates PEG APPLECATE Srnce we were hungry, we decrded to go to A 8: P super market There we found Peg scrubbrng the floors She sard that her husband was really the owner but that he belreved women should be kept actrve We have made these predrctrons rn jest wrth no real knowledge of the future, but who knows maybe some 'wr come true Donna Weber and Helen Lloyd 20 . - I , - Q Q I I Q Q Q ' .
