PHYSICAL EDUCATION Mr. Williams ' P.E. classes take many drill exercises during class periods. He also has a class of advanced P.E. that is utilized by boys in the upper classes. Classwork can be fun. So it seems. EXERCISE BUILDS STRONG BODIES Mrs. Gillikin ' s P.E. girls have participated in various dances as well as different games. Mrs. Gillikin ' s physical education class takes daily exercise.

WE FACE MANY WORLD PROBLEMS During the year the Social Studies Depart- ment has completed many projects which have improved their understanding of world affairs. The Charles B. Aycock band spends many hours of hard work in order to entertain us. Under the direction of Mr. Thig- pen this has been a very successful year. At the end of first semester the members received new uniforms. The uniforms were purchased by the Aycock Booster ' s Club. MUSIC DEPARTMENT HARMONY IS THE KEY NOTE The chorus has made many public appearances this year. Each has been rewarding. 18
