test. Peggy Pope was the prize-winner. After Christmas, Clara Belle came back. During the winter we had a few PARTIES AND DANCES AS ENTERTAINMENT. THAT 5PRING, JUST BEFORE WE GAVE THE SENIORS A BANQUET, WE GAVE A PLAY, called Aron Slick from Pumpkin Crick , which we think EVERYONE ENJOYED. THEN CAME THE BANQUET, IN MARCH. WE HAD A VERY PRETTY NIGHT FOR IT. LATER ON, WE WENT BACK to V.F.W. Lake for another weiner roast and went on to Burlington for the show. After school closed, another of our band-Clara Belle Anderson, joined the band of matrimony. This year, we have a new student, Jack Williams, for¬ merly of Fayetteville. However, we have lost a few mem¬ bers. Elizabeth White and Aron Wilson are working in Burlington. We have several new teachers, who are: Mrs Wall, our science teacherJMr. Muss,Agriculture teacher, Miss Cook, home economics teacher; Mr. Arrowood, who is principal. We still have Mr. Cude and Miss Hughes, two faithful teachers who have been with us a long time. On September 20, we attended the Lenoir-Rhywe foctsall game at Carolina, when all the North Carolina seniors WERE GUESTS OF THE UNIVERSITY. CM OCTOBER 2 ), WE WERE guests of State College. We are trying to live up to our motto, Faithful to the finish , and hope to be as happy in the future as WE HAVE BEEN IN THE PAST FOUR YEARS.
