NEWSPAPER STAFF Seated — David Eanes, Sports Editor; Josephine Howerton, Society Editor; Nancy Garrett, Feature Editor; Ralph Moore, Editor; Barbara Pace, Assistant Editor; Dolly Rumley, Business Manager; Lucy Wells, Class Room Editor; Mary Starling, Art Editor. Standing — Margaret Gravely, Soph. Reporter; Martha Minter, Senior Reporter; Betty Dulaney Eighth Grade Reporter; Louise Lavendar, Typist; Janet Marlowe, Eighth Grade Reporter; Shirley Davis, Junior Reporter; Miss Holland, Advisor. Striving for better and more enjoyable school life, students interested in publishing a school paper held a meeting under the direction of Miss Holland, and from their midst, elected a staff of members to establish, compose, and publish bi-monthly editions. A contest was held for the purpose of naming the paper, and from a number of extremely interesting entries, the staff finally chose The Bullet” as the official name which was contributed by a seventh grader. Although it is one of the newes t organizations in school, it has been accepted wholeheartedly by the faculty and student body as one of the necessities to enlighten the monotony of school activities. The staff members have worked hard to make the paper as successful as possible and sincerely appreciate the cooperation of students and teachers. The members of The Bullet” Staff also wish to thank their sponsor. Miss Margaret Holland, for her never failing leadership and advice in making the paper an overwhelming success.
