S t b - J 19 l Dear Diary, ep em er une' 5 How priviledged, we the freshman class were to be the first class to begin our four years at Avondale High. Our class consisted of one hundred and twenty-three pupils from the grade schools of Stone, Stiles Elmwood and Auburn Heights. Because of such a large group, we were separated into three homerooms. Our advisors, whom we will never forget, were Mr. Bruno, Mrs. Douglas, Mr. Henline, Mr. Kalinowski, Miss Krueger, and Mr. Schaer. We will never forget Initiation, which followed a short time after the beginning of school. Wasn't it fun dressing up and learning our prayers! Always we will keep in mind the parties we had together at Hallowe'en and Christmas, and those roller skat- ing parties also. What a success our WShamrock Swing' was, our first undertaking in high school. Now we are all anxiously awaiting to start our next school year as Sophomores. 'Greenishly' Yours, Rhea McCaslin
