EDITORIAL With this, the first Avonian, we have tried to capture for you in pictorial form a record of all the people and events we feel you want to remember from the past school year. Every year there are certain activities which fill our spare time. There are always friends whom we would not forget for the world. We don't forget them, either, but it is having pictures and various reminders of these friends always close at hand that keeps them vivid in our memories. That is the obiect of this yearbook and only you can determine whether or not we have suc- ceeded in doing this. The year 1951 is very important to Avondale High School. High school classes have been held in Auburn Heights for the last time and the first class is graduating from the new building. We are naturally proud to be this first class, but it is up to you who follow us, you who will attend, work, and play in the new school to develop as the real graduates of Avondale. There is no need for us to emphasize that you will find greater opportunities for educa- tion and better facilities for recreation in this modern high school.
