a2,fA?S22 ltlQiz?Es?2li'3 HISTCRY August 29, 1947 -- A group of forty-two youngsters wandered forth upon the long trail of education, namely Dennie Bradford, Nola Carr, Barbara Cartlidge, Dale Childress, John Cloud J r., Carlotta Dede, James Duree, Marietta Egbert, Linda Franklin, Jimmy Fulbright, Hazel Gentry, Barbara Gray, Carol Helbig, Kenneth Henderson, Cheryl Ann Holtsclaw, Melvin Jennings, Nancy Johnson, Linda Jones, Ronald Kepler, Sylvilene Larkin, Wilma Mantooth, Norma Martin, Tony May, Jay McDonald, Mary Jane McGuire, .Tudy Miles, Billy Nichols, Dale Parsley, Margaret Pock, Paul Richardson, Richard Ridenour, Merrill Roberts, Eddy Robinson, Laura Robinson, John Russell, Beverly Shew, Carolyn Sue Smith, Ronald Smith, Harold Wayne Stephen, Jerry Topmiller, Larwence Webb, and Donna Wildey. Our patient guide, Minnie Bee Parsons, courageously led us over the stumbling stones and we covered the first mile with only five members withdrawing from the journey. For the next seven miles, the guides who helped us overcome many doubts and fears, and prepared us for the long climb upward, as we came nearer the great mountain looming in the distance, were: Ruby Bradford, Virginia Parsons, Helen Farrow, Robert Wallace, RobertSmith, Henry Cox, and Richard Marks- bury. At last, in the year of 1956, we reach this lofty mountain called High School, and we have many guides to assist us on the rough, rocky, climb. We experience many mixed emotions during this lap of the journey, some joy, some sorrow, but always the zeal, and the will, to achieve lies uppermost in our thoughts. This year we, the class of 1959, are at the end of the long, long trail, the summit is reached, and there beyond lies the great green pastures of future adventure and the blessings of life abudant. Signed, the Class of '59: Lloyd Acton, Eddie Blair, J' im Bledsoe, Keith Bowman, Gretchen Bradley, Nola Carr, Dale Childress, J' im Dinkel, Jim Hiner, Carol Huffman, Bill J ones, Linda Jones, Sondra Kennedy, Ronnie Kepler, Sylvilene Larkin, Joyce Lisby, Jay McDonald, Larry Miller, Gary Mott, Phyllis Nester, Mike Olmstead, Joan Parrish, Ruby Petree, Margaret Pock, Merrill Roberts, Laura Robinson, J ack Schoen, Judy Searles, Beverly Shew, Ronnie Smith, Oris Snapp, Marlin Stunmerlot, Barbara Surber, Nona Taylor, Irvin Walton, Judy Yates, Bill Young, Mrs. Marie A.
