SENIOR TRIP Sunday, April the twenty-eighth at 7:15 a.m., the senior class of Avon High School left Weir Cook Municipal Airport, via T.W.A. flight 49540, Martin Skyliner, en route to Washington, D.C. Breakfast was served to us promptly after take-off by the plane stewardess. We stopped in Dayton and Columbus to pick up more passengers. We arrived at the National Airport in Washington at 10:32 a.m., where we were met by a special bus to begin the sight-seeing tour of some of the most educational points of interest in Washington, D.C. Sunday night was spent at the Hotel Congressional, one of the newest hotels in Washington. Monday afternoon and evening were free for our own personal interests, further sight-seeing, movies, or shows. Monday night at 11:55 p.m. we left Washington in flight for New York. We arrived at La Guardia Airport in New York City at 1:47 a.m. and went directly to the Sheraton-McAlpin Hotel to spend the night. Tuesday morning was spent sight-seeing in the many different educational points of the city. The afternoon and evening were free for Broadway shows, shopping, and additional sight-seeing. Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. we boarded a yacht for a cruise around Manhattan Island, We were again free for shopping and other individual interests in the afternoon. At 5:00 P.m. we went on a con- ducted tour of the Empire State Building, At 6:00 p.m. we were enter- tained by a three hour show at Radio City Music Hall. Following the show we were transferred by special bus to La Guardia Airport, where we boarded T.W.A, flight 19969, Martin Skyliner enroute for home. We arrived in Indianapolis Mtmicipal Airport at 3:29 a.rr1., Thursday morning. It was a most enjoyable trip and in spite of drooping eyes and sleepy heads, everyone had a good time. 17' -,? -
