SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE Dear Graduates: Congratulations and best wishes to the Class of 1987! As you depart for lives of further study, work, service or travel, this Yearbook will long serve as a reminder of the individual and collective impact you have had on the life and history of Avon High School. Similarly, it will provide a testament to the influ ence that Avon High School has had on each of you. Compressed within these two-dimensional surfaces are various events which record the faces, activities, triumphs and encoun- ters of all kinds that comprised the 1986-1987 School Year. Each picture is only a key which can unlock the deeper, richer exper- iences that lie beneath the surface. The true value of this record is to be found in your hearts, minds and memories. Like anything of great worth, it will become more meaningful and precious with each passing year. We wish each of you a wonderful, challenging and rewarding future.
