SUPERINTENDENT PRINCIPAL: Mr Loverin TO THE MEMBERS OF THE CLASS OF 1984: As you graduate and look forward to the future, 1 offer my personal congratulations and wish you success, health and happiness. 1 hope we have been of some help as you pro- gressed through the various grades and classes towards graduation. 1 feel it is appropriate at this time to share an excerpt from the 1961 Inaugural Address of John F. Kennedy. I sincerely hope you will find it applicable as you leave Avon High School and reflect on your past and your future. “Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friends and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans born in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of their ancient heritage, and unwillilng to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which the nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today, at home and around the world.” ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL: Mr Chapman Once again, congratulations and good luck in your future.
