Superintendent . . . l A. Oren Merkle Although Mr. Merkle has been our superintendent for only one year, he has already won the confidence and friendship of the student body, teachers, and the community. He is human and understanding in his relations with all and is endeavoring to instill the principles of life in the students so that each one may be an industrious, upright, and happy member of society. l Mr. Merkle graduated from Baldwin Wallace College with a degree of A.B.g to this he added a B.S. from Bowling Green State University. He received his Master's Degree from Ohio State University. With a genuine concern for our future welfare, Mr. Merkle studies the trends of modern education and plans constantly for the improvement and further development of the Avon Public School. Three
