Superintendent, D. M. Hanson Mr. Hanson, The head scientist of our high school space team, launched this year with his usual patience, endurance and far- sightedness. Mr. Hanson has kept our school in orbit for eleven years so this twelfth year was launched with the usual skillfulness under his leadership. BOARD OF EDUCATION SEATED: Ross Yeoman. DEDICATION To Mrs. Cooper, our popular commercial teacher and sponsor of the yearbook, we dedicate the 1959-60 Boomerang. Mrs. Cooper has taught at Avon High School for five years and has kept the yearbook successfully orbiting all those years. Ste is a friendly teacher who is liked by all the students and teachers. We are fortunate indeed to have Mrs. Cooper as a teacher and we proudly dedicate our yearbook to her.

Principal, JOHN J. ELDER Mr. Elder is in charge of the launching pad and anytime any high school astronaut gets out of orbit he is called to the launching pad by Mr. Elder. There the astronaut is helped to get a better understanding of his job and guided back into the proper orbit. Mr. Elder administers the launching pad with firmness and efficiency. School Treasurer and Bookkeeper. ARLENE WILKINS
