SENIOR PLAY On November 7 and 8 the Senior Glass pre- sented uOut of the Frying Pan under the direc- ion of Robert Spirakes. The cast of characters was as follows: George Bodel - Norman Reese Mrs. Garnet - - Tony Dennison Muriel Foster - Kate Ault - - - Marge Benson Dottie Coburn - Mr. Coburn - - Mr. Kenny - - T Mac ----- ,loe ------ Bon Powell Ron Ray Betty Palmer Dean Mitchell Betty Meachum Pat Carrico Margery Pollitt Dixie ,lohnson Gene Young Bill W1'ight Bud Woods Roland Hofmeister Three young men and three young women .re would-be actors and they have been driven nto sharing the same apartment due to lack of :conomic security. Their main problem is to get he big Broadway producer, who has quite a hit lunning and is about to cast a road company, ipstairs. The producer is an amateur chef and e happens to run out of flour. At last! The kids ave him in the house and they arenlt going to t him out until he sees some evidence of their bility. After clashes with the police, a Mickey inn and an irate father of one of the girls, it oks as if the future might hold something romising. They were youn looking things and seemed to be very scared They were accompanied by a strange woman ant two strange men. They gave their names as Mrs Brand, lVlr. Potter, and lVlr. Newman. The girl had on a very strange looking get-up. They ham their faces painted like Indians and had an oniol around their neck. The boys were dressed evei more strangely. They had ribbons in their hai and they carried dolls. At the noon hour thej served the Seniors their dinners. Then at 3:41 that afternoon they disappeared. But they ri turned to Avon High again that evening at 7:0 to attend the Senior Party given in their honoi looking a little more human. They entertained u by doing stunts on the stage. We danced and hai refreshments afterwards. The party broke ul at 10:00 and thus ended a big day for thesf forty green Freshmen.

TO UU Knox Choir Assembly Program The Student Council has made great strides toward the improvement of our school. It has made more money on magazines than ever before. With that mon- ey it has paid for all assembly programs for the year and purchased a threl speed R.C.A. Victrola for the use of the high school. The members ofthe Studen Council have assumed full responsibility for checking names in the lunchroo and reporting any deficiencies.
