His classes here are in Vocational 5gricr'tnre, while he is also faculty sponsor of the FFA arf hes' swoysor of the junior class. During the winter, he suyervwwri n wht classes in farm.machinery repair and soil conserrvf'ns for the henefit of the farmers in this vicinity. We swrrds his mornings in Avon and his afternoons at London Hills. his hobbies are carpentry and photography. MR. JOHN EWPX N There are thirty-two students enrolled in agriculture this year. There are eighteen in agriculture I and II and fourteen in agriculture III and IV. A That freshmen and sonhomores in Ag II s1:us,i.ed fam-mai husbandry. Included in this was the strdv of noultrv, sheep, hogs, beef, and. dairy, cattle. In studying dairy cattle, they learned how to test milk for hutterfat. Since the agriculture department has the utensils for milk- testing, many interesting experimenfs were done. The Ag IV class has done most of its work in the farm shop. In the early part of the year they studied sainring and paint mixing. Two tractors were hrought in and fgven a repaint job. Later the boys studied woodworking. fvo feed bunks, a three-sow hog house, and several other johs were done by the boys. Sheet metal work was studied after the woodworking unit was completed. Concrete hog waterers were made to sell to the farmers of the surroundini territory. Both classes have accomplished very much this year,. The boys have all learned much about farming.
