Rapidity of calculation and correct UBB of fundamentals are stressed. PLANE GEONETRY is a foundation course for more advanced mathematics. The principles must be remembered definitely, but a mastery of the reasoning process and a complete under- standing comes before any memory work. Memory work must clinch each set of proofs as the course proceeds. ADVANCED ALGEBRA, SOLID GEOFETRY, and TRIGONOMETRY, each one semester courses, are offered. All three courses are really college prep courses. Advanced algebra is taught every year. Solid geometry and trieonometrv are alternated. The BIOLOGY course is taught in units. Whis svstem makes it possible together sueciments first hand. The be- ginning unit includes insects and fall flowers and fruits. As soon as available materials are used, the Units take UU Hnlmal Phyla in order. Insects are placed in nrooer classification at this point. Immediately succeeding animal phvla is 3 unit QQ human physiology. This ircludes a study of foods and diets.
