For him happiness is a sail full of wind. There has been no one person who has helped our class more than he has. He spent many long, hard Saturdays working with us either in a potato field or a vineyard, not to mention all the class activities and projects in which he has been involved with us. Not only is he our advisor and teacher, he is our friend. It is with pleasure that the Class of 1970 dedicates this, our yearbook, to Mr. Walter E. Peterson.

To keep an institution running smoothly many ser- vices are rendered behind the scenes. Such services have been an important factor in maintaining a pleas- ant atmosphere where we have spent our many years of learning. The class of 1970 takes pride and pleasure in ex- pressing its sincere appreciation to Mr. Clarence Chis- som.

Principal Henry CleeVes Today authority of every kind is being challenged, in fact, the very idea of authority has come into serious question. We do not question that authority of all kinds needs watching, but we do ques- tion the complete breakdown of authority which leads to anarchy. History has demonstrated that the destruction of authority leads to anarchy, which leads to power by dictators. In this process it is al- ways the common man who is hurt socially, physically, and emotion- ally. It is our hope that the next generation will use “authority” wisely. We trust that you will accept with serenity the things that cannot be changed, but will have the courage to change things that can and should be changed. We hope that this school has taught you to distin- guish one from the other.
