We are about to review all the headline events from our four years of high school. The first voice from the past is that of Mr. Snyder, our class advisor. He started with us in our Freshman year and led us through four happy years of high school. There were forty-six members in our class in September, 1950. We were all glad to be a part of the high school. That year, our money making activities to raise funds for our Senior trip started. We embarked on such ventures as: the school fair, selling calendars, a round and square dance. For our own entertainment, there was a class party. During our first year of high school, four of our members left us. This ended our first year in high school. Had anyone happened to pass by the Sophomore home room in the fall of 1951, he would have found a slightly noisy group. Everyone was sorry summer vacation had passed so fast, but we soon settled down into our second year of adventure in the high school. In our Sophomore year, we sponsored several activities; two round and square dances and two bake sales. J une came soon and before anyone realized it, our Sophomore year was finished. September of 1952 found thirty-six members ofthejunior class, who quickly settled back into school activities. Now we are heralded by another voice from our past. It is that of Mr. Healey who directed the production of our Junior play, “Down to Earth”. Other activities in the Junior year weretheschool fair, a Max Raney show, Junior-Senior prom, a round and square dance, a roller skating party and bake sales. We were honored to have a class member. Jay Huber, win first place in the Stuben County Speaking Contest. Another member, Blair Stryker was selected to go to Boys’ State. The Junior year had been very successful in adding much to our funds for the Senior trip. The Senior year of 1953-1954 was started off with a bang-up campaign which led Blair Stryker to victory as candidate for Student Council president. In the Senior year, we sponsored a round and square dance, a show and bake sales. We were also successful in the production of the play, “Riddle Me Riches”. The industrious Seniors also worked hard on the yearbook which we hope you will enjoy. There is commencement night, and then we will be on our own out in this great world of ours.
