THE FUTURE Hello! This is the sad old worn out 'PRELUDE' of 1949 coming to life to see lf all the things that I prophesied have eome true It is quite nice to be able to stretch out my leaves and air out my p gee Being here in Marjorie Sh1ll's dresser drawer is no fun I never see my old friends any more, but now I shall! I'll call all t e other 'PRELUDVS' together and will we have fun! 'Here we are folksl' 'The meeting will now come to order I wan't each of you to tell a little about your owners We will begin with yol, my fine covered friend 'I'm just another book that belongs to Gloria Thorsen She has so many books around her place Right now she is doing just what we said she would She is a secretary to Carl Samuelson, a well known evsngelist Uow busy they both arel' Let s hear the next one and keep it short and snappy N 'I belong to Margella Wlghtman who is a very busy housewife She is Mrs Carl Ostrander now and has several little 'Juniors' around the ouse 'I come from Donald Fredericks home He ls a big time truck driver on his route all the way from Wallace to Bloomervllle He carries his babies back and forth to the station Baby chicks, I meanl' 'My owner is none other than Helen Kullkowskl She is a swimming instructor at Smith Pond She te ches the ducks to dive ' 'Me? I belong to Dick Sheridan He is s clvll engineer and is 'I'm so sore and worn out! Elizabeth Longwell looks me over so often She's a medical mlsslonarv over in Haiti And guess who is over there with her Pat Sager!
