Dick Ross Sophomore John Gadomski Senior Dale Crist Junior Forrest Parks Senior With wins over Wolf Lake, Wolcottville, and Rome City, the Panthers were riding a three game winning streak until they met Butler on January 13th. They came out on the short end of a 41 -46 score. The County Tourney was held at Ligonier, Thursday after- noon, January 19th, and Saturday afternoon and night, January 21st. After the first two games the tourney was looking good for the Panthers. They defeated the Wawake Warriors 59-48 and the Cromwell Spartans 59-43. The Panthers went to the finals to play Ligonier. This proved to be a thrilling game with the score atthehalf tied at 15 all. The Ligonier Raiders gained in the last half and won with a acore of 35-46. On January 27th the Panthers defeated Wawaka on the War- riors ' home floor with a score of 63-54. Three more losses were added to the Panther ' s record as theywere defeated by Ossian 36-55, Hamilton 46-48 in an over- time, and Garrett 50-70. 25

Byron Pfafman Senior Dick Worman Junior Billy Miller Junior December 2 the Ashley Aces won over the Panthers 36 to 57. A week later they were again defeated by the Roanoke Stone- walls in a very close game. The score was 42 to 45. The Panthers overcame their losing streak at Cromwell with a cores of 59 to 51. A day later they were unsuccessful at Huntertown losing 38 to 60. On December 23 the Panthers defeated the Wolf Lake Wolves in a very exciting game scoring 44 to 42. The Panthers opened the 1950 season by scoring 46 points to Wolcottville ' s 42. On January 6 the Panthers made history by winning over Rome City with a score of 83 to 54, the most points ever scored on their home floor. 24
