JANUARY We ended our gala Christmas vacation With a great big New Year’s celebration. All basketball fans to Rome City went, To our second team the trophy was sent. The semester ended on the tenth this year With stiff exams from our teachers dear. FEBRUARY Victory over Angola, to us was a treat To end up the season, Garrett we beat. Our team prepared for the basketball tourney; All fans to K’ville made their journey. The Panthers were victors in the sectional meet; But at Fort Wayne, they met with defeat. MARCH The juniors did the class tourney up grand, Down at Manchester we were proud of our band. The F. F. A. skating party brought each one his fall; But amusement and fun were provided for all. The seniors worked extra hard each day To learn each part of the senior play. APRIL The play was given two nights in a row; The Spring Concert, was also a success, you know. With much hurrying and scurrying the annual went to press. The juniors gave a banquet that topped all the rest. We then took a trip and had “Senior Day.” At Baccalaureate they showed us “‘Life’s Way.” Commencement arrived with both joy and tears; We accepted our diplomas, the reward of four years. And now, we bid you all adieu; May these happy school memories remain with you.
